Amy Sherman
Founder, Jefferson County Business Resource Center

Amy Sherman is the President & CEO for the West Chamber Serving Jefferson County. The West Chamber services Lakewood, Wheat Ridge and unincorporated Jefferson County businesses. Sherman accepted this position in September 2001.

Amy has a background in the chamber of commerce and tourism industries. She was the Vice-President of Member Services for the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce, Director of Communications for Colorado Travel and Tourism Authority (now Colorado Tourism Office) and Director of Industry Communications for the National Potato Council. Amy is the President of the Colorado Chamber of Commerce Executives Board of Directors and serves on the board of the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry. She also serves on the Boards of Jefferson Economic Council and Enterprise Wheat Ridge and is a member of the Denver West Kiwanis.

Amy has a degree in Communications and Psychology from the University of Kansas and is a graduate of Institute for Organizational Management, Colorado College. Amy resides in Littleton with her husband, Steve, and twin toddlers.

Denise Stephens
Director, Jefferson County Business Resource Center

Denise joined the Jefferson County Business Resource Center in February of 2006. Denise has a background in banking and small business development and has planned, owned, and operated two service businesses and one retail operation in Jefferson County. She has researched and written several procedural manuals including; “The Small Business Guide to Payroll Tax Reporting” and “What You Should Know as a Small Business Owner”.

Previously, Denise was the Finance/Office Manager for the Jefferson Economic Council.  In this position she served as Administrator for the Jefferson County Enterprise Zone.

Currently, Denise is a member of the Jefferson County Community Development Advisory Board, the Enterprise Wheat Ridge Board, the Golden Community Development Committee, and the Colorado Lending Source Loan Review Committee. Denise graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in from Regis University.
