Amira has been a business owner in Lakewood since 1997.  She has a strong background in program development, marketing, fundraising and community outreach. Sh
e previously worked for The West Chamber Serving Jefferson County since successfully filling numerous staff positions.  She created and implemented many of the programs the West Chamber currently offers.  


Amira is committed t
o serving the business community by sharing her experience and knowledge with others and thoroughly enjoys “brainstorming” with business owners, helping them discover solutions to the many potential challenges and opportunities that come with owning a business.  Amira is passionate about making a difference in the world and enjoys helping people reach their success goals and realize their vision. She is a almost a Jefferson County native and has one grown son.

Jayne Reiter
Executive Director, Jefferson County Business Resource Center

Jayne Reiter is a small business specialist having over 20 years experience in sales and marketing. In her career she has owned and operated her own retail and sales business. She has a B.S. in Business Administration and a M.Ed. in Adult Education. In her role as a business counselor, she has guided over 3,000 emerging and existing businesses clients through start-up issues, marketing, alternative financing, and business plan development. She is dedicated to helping small business achieve their goals in growth and expansion.

Densie Stephens Jefferson County Business Resource Center
Denise Stephens
Executive Director, Jefferson County Business Resource Center

Denise joined the Jefferson County Business Resource Center (JCBRC) in February of 2006. Denise has a background in banking and small business development and has planned, owned, and operated two service businesses and one retail operation in Jefferson County. She has researched and written several procedural manuals including; “The Small Business Guide to Payroll Tax Reporting” and “What You Should Know as a Small Business Owner”.

Denise is a member of the Jefferson County Community Development Advisory Board (CDAB), the Workforce Investment Board (WIB), the Golden Community Development Committee, BEST Business Education Planning Committee and an annual volunteer for the Red Rocks Community College Scholarship Review Committee. She was a past participant on the Colorado Companies to Watch Development Committee, Colorado Lending Source Loan Review Committee, Enterprise Wheat Ridge Board and Leadership Jefferson County Planning Committee. Previously, Denise was the Finance/Office Manager for the Jefferson Economic Development Corporation (Jeffco EDC).  In this position she served as Administrator for the Jefferson County Enterprise Zone.

Denise graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in from Regis University. Denise is a native of Jefferson County. She and her husband reside in Lakewood and have three daughters.

Founder, Jefferson County Business Resource Center

Former President & CEO for the West Chamber Serving Jefferson County. The West Chamber services Lakewood, Wheat Ridge and unincorporated Jefferson County businesses. Sherman accepted this position in September 2001.

Amy has a background in the chamber of commerce and tourism industries. She was the Vice-President of Member Services for the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce, Director of Communications for Colorado Travel and Tourism Authority (now Colorado Tourism Office) and Director of Industry Communications for the National Potato Council. Amy is the President of the Colorado Chamber of Commerce Executives Board of Directors and serves on the board of the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry. She also serves on the Boards of Jefferson Economic Council and Enterprise Wheat Ridge and is a member of the Denver West Kiwanis.

Amy has a degree in Communications and Psychology from the University of Kansas and is a graduate of Institute for Organizational Management, Colorado College. Amy resides in Littleton with her husband, Steve, and twin toddlers.
